all items less food and energy index rose 2.8 percent over the last 12 months. The energy index decreased 3.7

Effective with this release, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has replaced the survey data collected
for the CPI's leased cars and trucks index with transaction data purchased from a vendor to increase the
accuracy of the index.
